Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Bin Boss LLC is a Maryland limited liability company that provides residential and commercial trash can

cleaning, dumpster and bin sanitizing, and related power-washing services. We travel to customer

locations. We do not operate a public storefront.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information we collect:

• Through our website, online forms, chat widgets, and booking tools.

• By phone, text, email, social media, Google Business Profile, Nextdoor, and similar platforms.

• In person at a service address when we schedule, perform, invoice, or follow up on work.

• From payment processors, mapping tools, and other vendors that help us run the business.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, apps, or platforms we do not control, including

Google, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, Nextdoor, GoDaddy, or payment networks, even if you reach us

through those services.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide

We may collect:

• Identity and contact details: name, business name, email address, phone number, and mailing

or service address.

• Service details: property type (home or commercial), number and type of bins or dumpsters,

gate or access codes you choose to share, preferred service days, special instructions, and

photos you send us.

• Billing details: invoicing address, payment confirmation, last four digits of a card if shown on a

receipt, and related transaction records.

• Communications: emails, texts, voicemails, review replies, and notes from phone calls.

• Employment or contractor inquiries, if you apply to work with us.

3.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit our website or click our ads, standard technology may collect:

• IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and

timestamps.

• Cookies, pixels, and similar identifiers used for site function, analytics, and (if enabled)

advertising.

• Approximate location derived from IP address—not precise GPS unless you separately grant

that permission to an app or map tool.

3.3 Information from third parties

We may receive information from:

• Google Business Profile, search, Maps, and advertising tools.

• Social platforms and neighborhood apps when you message us or leave a public review.

• Payment processors and invoicing tools.

• Website hosts (for example GoDaddy) and form or email providers.

• Public records or mapping data used to confirm a service address is in our coverage area.

3.4 Sensitive information

We do not seek Social Security numbers, driver’s license images, precise geolocation tracking of your

person, health data, or biometric identifiers. If you voluntarily send a gate code, alarm note, or photo of

your property, treat that as operational information needed to perform the service. Share only what is

necessary. We will not request payment card CVV codes by email or text.

3.5 Children’s information

Our services are for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from

children under 16. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• Schedule, route, perform, and follow up on cleaning and power-washing jobs.

• Confirm that an address is in our service area and plan technician travel.

• Send quotes, invoices, receipts, reminders, and service updates.

• Process payments and prevent fraud or chargebacks.

• Respond to questions, reviews, and complaints.

• Send promotional offers via email or text marketing. You may opt out at any time.

• Improve our website, routing, and customer experience.

• Protect our rights, property, employees, and customers, and comply with law.

• Create before-and-after photos or testimonials only with your permission when we use them

publicly.

We do not sell personal information for money.

5. Legal Bases (Where Applicable)

Depending on the situation, we process information because:

• It is needed to enter or perform a service contract with you.

• You consented (for example, marketing texts or public use of a photo).

• We have a legitimate business interest that is not overridden by your privacy rights (for

example, routing jobs and preventing fraud).

• The law requires it (for example, tax and bookkeeping records).

6. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us operate: website hosting, email and texting tools, scheduling

software, payment processors, accountants, insurers, and IT support. They may use the

information only to perform work for us.

• Technicians or contractors who need the service address and access notes to complete a job.

• Professional advisors such as lawyers, banks, and insurance carriers.

• Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect safety or investigate suspected fraud

or damage.

• A buyer or successor if we sell, merge, or reorganize the business, subject to this Policy or a

comparable policy.

• Other companies that we own and may conduct cross marketing with.

•Other parties with your direction or consent (for example, a property manager you ask us to bill).

We do not rent or sell customer contact lists. Public reviews you post on Google or social media are

controlled by those platforms, not by this Policy.

7. Advertising, Cookies, and Analytics

Our website and ads may use cookies and similar tools for:

Essential functions (remembering a form, keeping a session).

Analytics (understanding which pages are useful).

Advertising measurement if we run Google, Meta, or similar ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some site features may not work if you do. Browser

“Do Not Track” signals are not consistently honored across the industry; we do not currently respond to

DNT headers in a unique way.

If you enable advertising pixels later, update this section and, where required, add a cookie banner and

opt-out link.

8. Text Messages and Email

If you give us your mobile number, we may send transactional texts about scheduling, arrival windows,

invoices, and marketing. You may opt out of marketing texts at any time. Message frequency varies. Message and data

rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts and START to re-subscribe. Reply HELP for help.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message or by emailing us. We may

still send non-marketing messages about an existing job or account.

Do not send payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive data by

unencrypted email or text.

9. Photos, Reviews, and Marketing Content

We may photograph bins or work areas to document service quality. Photos that show house numbers,

faces, license plates, or other identifying details will not be posted publicly without your consent. You

may refuse photo use for marketing at any time.

If you post a review, we may respond publicly using only the information you already made public.

10. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including:

• Active customer and routing records while you remain a customer and for a reasonable period

afterward so we can restart service.

• Invoices, payment, and tax records for the period required by tax and bookkeeping rules

(commonly at least seven years).

• Communications related to a dispute, claim, or safety issue for the life of the issue plus any

legal limitation period.

• Website logs for a short operational period unless needed for security review.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it in a commercially reasonable way.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small service

business. These include limited access to customer lists, device passwords, and care in how

technicians carry job details in the field.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If we

become aware of a breach that Maryland or federal law requires us to report, we will notify affected

individuals and regulators as required.

12. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

• Ask what personal information we have about you.

• Ask us to correct inaccurate information.

• Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.

• Opt out of marketing emails and texts.

• Refuse or withdraw consent for marketing photos.

To make a request, email or write us using the contact details in Section 1. We may need to verify your

identity. We will respond within a reasonable time, and within any deadline required by applicable law.

We may decline a request when the law allows us to keep the information (for example, unpaid

invoices, fraud prevention, or tax records).

13. Maryland Residents

Maryland has enacted the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA). Full controller obligations apply

to businesses that meet statutory thresholds (including processing personal data of at least 35,000

Maryland consumers in a year, excluding payment-transaction data processed solely to complete a

payment, or certain sale-of-data thresholds). A small, local service company often will not meet those

thresholds. Regardless of threshold, we still aim to handle data fairly.

If and when MODPA applies to us, Maryland consumers may have rights to:

• Confirm whether we process their personal data and access that data.

• Correct inaccuracies.

• Delete personal data we hold.

• Obtain a portable copy of data they provided.

• Opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or certain profiling, if we ever engage in

those activities.

• Appeal a denial of a privacy request.

We do not currently sell personal data or engage in targeted advertising profiles that produce legal or

similarly significant effects. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide any required opt-out

method.

Maryland consumers may also contact the Office of the Attorney General of Maryland for information

about consumer and privacy rights: https://www.marylandattorneygeneral.gov

14. California and Other State Residents

If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law (for example California, Virginia, Colorado,

Connecticut, or others) and that law applies to us, you may have similar access, deletion, correction,

and opt-out rights. Submit requests using the contact details in Section 1. We will honor applicable

rights. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are commonly defined in the

California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for

purposes that require a CCPA right-to-limit notice.

15. International Visitors

We operate in the United States. If you contact us from outside the U.S., your information will be

processed in the United States, which may have different privacy rules than your home country.

16. Third-Party Links and Platforms

Our website, emails, or profiles may link to Google, Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor, payment pages, or

other sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before you

submit information to them.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change. Material

changes will be posted on our website or otherwise communicated when required. Continued use of

our website or services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
